Former Real Madrid prospect Takefusa Kubo does hilarious twerk celebration for Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo celebrated his Basque derby goal in style with a hilarious twerk celebration.

Sociedad hosted arch-rivals Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night as they continue they impressive start to the season in Spain.

Kubo made his sixth league start of the season, one that has seen him shine thus far in the Spanish city of San Sebastian.

And shortly after the restart against Bilbao, he scored a fine goal to put his team 2-0 up.

Brais Mendez's pass into the box found Umar Sadiq, whose deft touch was laid into the path of the onrushing Kubo.

The 22-year-old hit a first-time effort into the bottom right corner to spark jubilant scenes from the home fans behind the goal.

Kubo then ran away in celebration and pretended to pull up with an injury before twerking in hilarious fashion.

The strike was his fifth of the campaign so far in eight appearances, with four more to go to equal his tally for last term.

The Japan international, who featured at the World Cup in Qatar, has proven to be a hit at Sociedad since he signed last summer.

After starring for FC Tokyo he signed for Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2019 but had four different spells out on loan.

Kubo failed to make a single appearance for Madrid across his three years as the club before being sold to Sociedad.

Since then, he has amassed 24 goal contributions in 52 appearances across all competitions.

Sociedad are fourth in LaLiga after a 3-0 win and just three spots behind Madrid, who went top on Saturday thanks to some magic from Jude Bellingham.
