Cee Lo Green Leaving The Voice For Good
Many great historical figures have walk away in their prime. Well, Cee Lo Green may not be a great historical figure nor may he be in his prime, but he’s walking away from the hit show The Voice in the height of its prime.
According to GossipCop, Green told Ellen DeGeneres:
“I don’t want to wear out my welcome there… I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album. I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year.”
Green did say he was going to miss the show and there is no bad blood at all. He was appearing on The Ellen Show to promote his upcoming tour with Lionel Richie.
The show must go on however. The upcoming season of The Voice is scheduled to kick off next Monday with Usher and Shakira back in the fold as coaches.
