15 Rock Stars Who Married Supermodels
Rock stars and supermodels; they’re kind of what every little boy and every little girl want to be when they grow up (and not necessarily in that order). Who wouldn’t want to have a job that requires singing and making music and being considered the most awesome by your fans, or one that really just requires looking pretty and smiling for photos all the time? Neither job is really as glamorous as it sounds as they both come with some serious drawbacks and take more work than people think. However, they also come with some serious perks, such as being a rock star married to a famous supermodel. Here are fifteen rock stars who married supermodels.

Seal and Heidi Klum
They were one of the sweetest couples of all time. Seal and Heidi met and fell in love when she was pregnant with another man’s baby. Seal was in a hotel lobby rocking bike shorts with the Victoria’s Secret Angel saw him and fell instantly in love. The pair married in 2005 and renewed their vows each and every year for seven years; until they separated in 2012. Seal eventually went on to grant a few interviews in which he stated the pair grew apart and fell out of love with one another, even after welcoming three more children of their own.

Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter
She was the biggest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model of the 80s and she had her fair share of relationships with rock stars. After leaving one rock star to begin dating Stewart, they decided to marry. There was a slight age difference between the two when they exchanged their vows in 1990. He was 45 and she was only 21. During their 15-year marriage the couple welcomed two children of their own. They decided to separate and ultimately finalized their divorce in 2005 for reasons that were speculated over and over again, but remain pretty much a mystery at this point.

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster
He divorced supermodel Rachel Hunter in 2005 and apparently missed the model wife. He married another supermodel, Penny Lancaster, in 2007. Penny Lancaster is a British model who also works as a photographer. The couple met and fell instantly in love, getting married not too long after they met. They’re still married today, despite the fact that she’s closer to his children’s age than she is to his. The couple was wed in a lavish ceremony in Portofino, Italy in the midst of a medieval castle. They now have one son together, which makes a total of eight children for Rod Stewart.

Caleb Followill Lily Aldridge
He’s in the band Kings of Leon and she’s a supermodel with Angel wings for Victoria’s Secret. The couple married in a private ceremony in 2011 and have since welcomed their first child. The couple’s wedding was a beautiful affair that they celebrated with close friends and families in California. The Montecito Ranch at which they wed was designed to make the perfect backdrop for any wedding, and this couple took advantage of the beautiful backdrop and exchanged their vows. It’s been more than three year since they exchanged vows, and the couple is reportedly very happy together.

John Mellencamp and Elaine Irwin
Elaine Irwin met her rock star husband when she was being considered for one of his album covers. It was 1980 and it was only two months later that the couple was engaged to be married and not much longer after that before they actually tied the knot. The couple had what it took to last a lifetime, so it seemed. After 20 years of marriage, Mellencamp and Irwin announced they were separating in 2010 and filed for divorce in 2011. Neither took long to rebound, however. Mellencamp reportedly found solace in the arms of Meg Ryan while Irwin began dating Russell Simmons.

Eddie Vedder and Jill McCormick
He’s the front man in a little band called Pearl Jam and she’s a famous supermodel. The couple was wed in 2010 in a gorgeous Hawaiian ceremony after becoming engaged in Washington D.C. earlier that year. It was about time, too, considering the two had been together for many years prior to their wedding. They were together so long, in fact, that the couple had their two children in their wedding party when they exchanged their vows in Hawaii. The couple had people such as Sean Penn on their guest list, and it was quite the elaborate affair.

Scott Weiland and Mary Forsberg
He’s a rock star times two. Scott Weiland was once in the band Velvet Revolver and also the Stone Temple Pilots. Weiland and his supermodel love met in the 90s and got married in 2000. She was only 16 when they met. They announced their separation and ended up divorced in 2007. Forsberg has since come forward to talk about her life with the rocker in her memoir. She discussed her fall into a life of drugs and rock and roll and mental illness in the book, blaming her marriage and relationship for much of what she got into.

Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley
This rock star and his former supermodel wife met and fell in love and got married in 1983. She was quickly becoming one of the most famous supermodels in the world, and he was, well, Billy Joel. The couple was married until 1994 when they decided to get a divorce. Their wedding was a splashy one in New York City aboard a yacht in the harbor that they had fully decorated with tulips. During their marriage, they had one daughter whom they named Alexa Joel, who is also doing a little modeling of her own. This is one couple that managed to stay friendly after their divorce.

Keith Richards and Patti Hansen
This is a couple that has managed to defy the odds. They’re a rock star and a supermodel that married in 1983. The couple met and fell in love and decided to get married. They married on a beautiful beach in Mexico, in Cabo San Lucas to be precise. Their wedding date was also the same day that Richards turned 40-years-old. He’s known for being a hard-partier and always has been since his heyday as a part of The Rolling Stones, one of the most famous bands of all time. That’s not something that seemed to bother Hansen, however.

Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall
Mick Jagger married supermodel Jerry Hall in 1990. While the couple only managed to stay married for 9 years, they were one of the hottest couples in the world while they were married. They managed to have four kids in less than nine years together. Hall and Jagger were together for about two decades, tying the knot after more than 10 years together. She filed for divorce in 1999 after another model from Brazil came forward to say she was pregnant and Jagger was the father of her unborn child.

Jamie Hince and Kate Moss
This rock star and supermodel duo got married in 2011. They included Moss’ daughter from a prior relationship in their wedding ceremony. Their wedding was a three day celebration designed to appear much like a celebratory festival. Moss went blonde and wore a white dress for the occasion, looking rather lovely as she married her rocker beau. Hince is a rocker star with the band The Kills. He spends a lot of time on the road, but so far he and the supermodel seem to make their marriage work despite the groupies and difficulties of being a rock star wife.

David Bowie and Iman
This couple exchanged vows in 1992 in a beautiful ceremony in Switzerland. The couple decided to celebrate later in the year in Italy with a big reception where they went onto say they fell even more in love with one another. The rocker and his supermodel wife have been married more than 22 years now, and they have a daughter together. They’re reportedly as happy as they were when they tied the knot two decades ago. Their wedding and celebrations were so beautiful and elaborate they were used on the cover of dozens of magazines at the time.

This supermodel and her rock star husband were married in 2005. He talks about her frequently and the pair always look happy together.

Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson
Well, this was a celebrity couple that did not last long. However, not many of Anderson’s marriages lasted long. She’s a former model and he’s a rock star. She’s been married to at least two rock stars, including Motley Crue co-founder, Tommy Lee. She married and divorced Kid Rock all in a span of five months back in 2006, even though the couple dated off and on since 2001. He’s gone onto say that he has no regrets about his marriage to the Baywatch beauty because his marriage to her was the most fun he’s ever had.
